la vega was first on the scene and you have more details on why this is being called suspicious, janine de la vega >> we're having a little bit of problem with janine de la vega out there, but she will have an update in just a little bit. meantime, today, de la salle's high school legendary head football coach is expected to make a big announcement. brian flores is in concord this morning where the coach is expected to step down. brian. >> reporter: good morning, yeah, there are great high school football teams, there are great high school football programs and there are legendary programs and for coach bob ladouceur, he has created one of those legendary programs and after 34 years of coaching he may step down today. that's what's being reported. whether that means retirement it's unclear at this point but it's being widely reported that it will happen today. the school issued a press release saying there will be a press conference this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. they did not specifically mention retirement but stating that it would provide some type of information about the future

florida, also known as the redneck riviera. some people call it l.a.-- lower alabama. we're very conservative. jerry falwell said my district was the most conservative district in america. i grew up in the southern baptist church with a lot of hunters. i lived in mississippi, we spent our summers in the woods. i can tell you, i grew up around hunters and guns and relatives that had shotguns in the back of their trucks and had guns in their houses and what stunned me was after newtown when i came out sighing enough is enough, the second amendment does not mean that survivalists have a right to carry around whatever assault weapon they want to carry around, i was shocked by the number of positive messages i got from the very conservatives, the hunters, the n.r.a. members, the southern baptists that i sat with in pews growing up that agreed with me 100%. i got a lot more response from conservatives, mainstream conservatives than i did even from liberals. so that's why i'm concerned about the republican party, whether they can really listen to wayne lapierre and follow the most extre

.w.a.t. team this morning after a four- hour armed robbery hostage situation down in l.a. the two robbers escaped and they are now on the run. quite a night. it started at this nordstrom rack store around 11 p.m. last night when 911 calls started coming in saying there were armed robbers inside the score. s.w.a.t. teams stormed the mall shutting down the stores evacuating workers. it wasn't until about 3 a.m. they entered nordstrom's and found employees locked in a storage area hiding in bathrooms. police say not clear when the robbers got away. >>> fbi specialists have reached the bottom of another well near linden in the search for more "speed freak" killer remains. officials expected to reach the bottom sooner but found the well was four times as deep as they initially thought. the bottom is covered with water and it sits more than 200 feet below the surface. csi teams will use a pump to remove the water and allow a camera to get a view around before digging any further. >>> california is steaming toward a budget surplus. and maybe for the foreseea

crashed into a store. ktvu's janine de la vega just arrived on the scene. janine? >> reporter: we're here at 85. right behind me, you can see a tow truck is pulling out this mobile dog spa, grooming van. it's called just for paws. it has gone and completely crashed into this smoke shop here located into this strip mall i just spoke with police a short time ago and they tell me that this accident all happened at 6:30 this morning. and apparently what happened is somebody who works for the just for paws mobile spa company left this unit basically unattended, was warming it up either in a parking lot or their driveway. when they came out, they found it was stolen. next thing you know, a couple of hours later, police say that they get a call from somebody passing by saying that this van has just crashed into the smoke shop called up in smoke and they saw four young men running away from the van. we don't know if anybody was hurt. as far as we know, the four suspects have not been caught. just a lot of damage left over here in this smoke shop. we just got here so we haven't been able to speak
